My journey as an Early Educator began in April 1987. I was in school pursuing my dream of becoming an Interior Designer when a friend told me about a preschool that was looking for an aide. I had always enjoyed being around children and since I needed a part-time time job I applied. From there, there was no looking back.
What I like best about working with children is the sound of children’s laughter and their bright smiles. I love reading stories to them and to hear them tell stories about their experiences.
My undergraduate studies were in Child Development, and in May 2016, I completed a Master’s Degree in Human Development with an emphasis on Leadership in Education and Human Services.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband Alan and our four children (ranging in age between 25 and 15). My hobbies include reading, gardening, and cooking. I also enjoy camping, hiking and going for long walks with our dog Heidi.
